What dangers await at the resorts
Going on vacation to foreign countries, we should know literally everything about them: culture, customs, traditions, language. In order not to become a victim of crooks, we must know the basic things that can await us at foreign resorts.
For example, in the Arab countries there is this kind of divorce: a young man comes up to you and says “present” in broken English and gives you some trinket, well, there’s a pyramid or a toy camel, you are not aware of anything, take it, and here they extort money from you for this trinket and, moreover, a lot of money. In case of refusal, they promise to call the police and report that you robbed them.
A very profitable business came up in Turkey.
As you know, Turkey suffers from a stream of illegal immigrants, most of whom work and live without a passport. According to Turkish law, being in the country without a passport is a criminal offense. Sly Turks first steal a passport, then bring it for a fee.
European resorts also do not guarantee a safe vacation. The most common crimes at European resorts are theft of bags. Basically, they rip off bags while riding scooters or motorbikes. In Spain, they practice this type of crime: they are looking for lost tourists and offer them their services, meanwhile, they skillfully rob tourists.
Is it worth it to contact the police in such cases? I think not worth it. People rest only 10-15 days, and by writing an application, you will wait a long time, and it is not worth it. If you have lost your passport, then do not hang your nose! Contact the consulate, there they will give you a certificate, having provided which at home, you can return the documents. The cost of such a certificate is 2500-3000 rubles.
Despite the high crime rate, the number of vacationers is growing every year, but I hope that the vigilance of our tourists will be at the highest level.
